Synskadades Riksförbund – AI-först Kommunikations-strategi för månadsgivare

The Company

Synskadades Riksförbund needed to connect with the donors who matter most – those giving every month. Their goal was ambitious: double the number of monthly donors by 2025, without doubling the team. But they faced real challenges: no structured communication, no strategy, and limited internal capacity.

Background

Until then, SRF’s monthly donors had joined entirely on their own. There was no onboarding, no reminders – and no real data strategy in place. SRF wanted to rethink the entire donor journey. They asked: if we were to do this the smartest way possible – with AI – what would that look like That’s where I came in.

Solution

In just five weeks, I helped build a scalable, AI-first workflow for fundraising. We started by anchoring an AI policy in the EU AI Act, then ran team workshops to build confidence, skills, and internal structure. We mapped key processes, identified repetitive tasks, and made sense of both active and hidden data. Using tools like ChatGPT and Notebook LLM, we developed donor personas and tailored interview guides. Insights from these conversations – combined with CRM data – shaped SRF’s first data-driven communication plan: co-created with AI, grounded in human needs, and adapted to the skills of the communications team. The impact? Less time spent on repetitive tasks. A team that sees data as a resource, not a burden. And a mindset shift: SRF now works AI-first – with a roadmap, a prompt library, an internal AI playbook, and a new colleague named Kai.
Most importantly, this has laid the foundation for what matters most: building real, long-term relationships with their monthly donors.
