The Company

Plus 1 is a growing fintech company with the mission to help people take control of their personal
finances. With the app Plus i kassan, they aim to break the cycle of debt and create financial freedom
through clarity and control. Plus 1 needed our help to create a communication solution that would
increase awareness of the app, attract a younger target audience and establish a market position by
talking about money in a new, engaging way.

Background

It seems that more and more people are ending up in debt collection because of food delivery
services and Klarna. We live in a society where purchases happen on impulse and give us a
dopamine kick with every click. It’s becoming increasingly difficult to distinguish between habit and
addiction. So the mission Plus 1 needs to tackle – help people take control of their personal finances.
Insight
The rush from consumption is fast, easy and rewarding – but the consequence is delayed, invisible
and easy to repress. It’s not the amount that matters – it’s the feeling. And the consequences come
much later.

Solution

”Klickruset” – the new communication concept we’ve created for Plus 1. Where buying things online is
compared to other types of addiction. Through a series of communications, we aim to raise
awareness about a behavior that people might not realize is unhealthy. Also, show how Plus 1 can
help you make smarter decisions about your financial behavior.
