The Company
Ellevio is one of Sweden’s largest electricity network companies, serving around one million
customers. Power as a Service is part of Ellevio’s Energy Solutions business area, where
Ellevio takes full responsibility for businesses’ entire electrical infrastructure – from
substations and switchgear to backup power systems, batteries, and charging solutions for
heavy transport.
Background
We have explored Ellevios Power-as-a-Service offering. By 2045, electricity usage will have
doubled, creating a power shortage, and PaaS will be an essential solution for
energy-intensive businesses. Despite its relevance, awareness is low. Within the target
group – decision-makers in industry, data centers and the manufacturing industry – it is
common to own and operate their own power infrastructure.
Our key insight is that the target audience sees their power infrastructure as something they
must control. Therefore, outsourcing instinctively triggers resistance. Not because of the
solution itself, but because it requires trust that someone else can deliver the same level of
control, security, and precision as they can themselves. To build trust, communication must
address the target group’s need for control, security, and business value – while positioning
Ellevio as the enabler partner of future-proof energy.
Solution
Our concept Mind Your Business is based on Ellevio’s role in allowing companies to focus
on their core operations, while Ellevio takes care of the power. The campaign highlights this
through examples drawn from the target audience’s core operations.
The first phase is an awareness campaign featured in out-of-home advertising, print, social
media, and PR kits. The visual identity includes power cords shaped into symbols from the
customers’ core industries – illustrating Ellevio as the invisible yet essential partner. The
second phase is a lead generation campaign with more targeted communication aimed at
decision-makers in industry, data centers, and logistics. Together, the efforts build a clear
narrative: Ellevio takes care of your power – so you can focus on your core business.
